After serious reflection and discussion on the different options for holding the Economics of Education Association Meeting, we are pleased to announce that it will be held on July 8 and 9, 2021 in Zaragoza. The current uncertainty has led us to propose a hybrid modality, which includes the possibility of participating virtually or, if health conditions allow it, in person. As far as possible, we hope to be able to meet in person in order to maintain the traditional academic and social interest and networking opportunities that characterize AEDE’s meetings. However, in the event that this is not possible due to health reasons, we will opt for a 100% virtual meeting. We will wait until April to make this decision, prioritizing at all times the safety and health of our attendees.
The deadline for submission of abstracts (maximum length 300 words) is February 10, 2021. You can submit your abstracts through the website (http://user.economicsofeducation.com). The decision on the acceptance of all abstracts will be notified by 26th February 2021.
We will update all the information regarding the XIX Meeting of the Economics of Education Association on the website (http://2021.economicsofeducation.com). This year we will have as Keynote Speakers two internationally recognized experts in the field of the economics of education, professors Sandra McNally (University of Surrey) and Ludger Woessmann (University of Munich).
Additionally, thanks to the endowment of the Open Society Foundations (OSF), researchers from low and middle-income countries will be supported with grants to attend the 2020 AEDE Annual Meeting. More information can be found on this link: http://2021.economicsofeducation.com/es/osf-becas/
On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, we encourage your participation and dissemination of the AEDE 2021 activities.
We look forward to seeing you in Zaragoza.
Best regards,
The Local Organizing Committee
